Michael Goldberg, ASA
Chairman & CEO of Flamingo Software, LLC

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Michael Goldberg, a graduate from the University of Michigan, is a life insurance actuary with approximately forty years of experience in the U.S. life insurance industry. In 1968 Mr. Goldberg founded Financial Data Planning Corp. (FDP), initially a timesharing company that evolved into a developer of standalone computer software. FDP was a NASDAQ listed company that was later sold to SunGard Data Systems. His foresight and use of new technologies has revolutionized the way information is managed and delivered throughout the life insurance and employee benefits industries.

FDP’s clientele encompassed over half of the top insurance companies in the U.S. Approximately one-third of the pension plans in the U.S. were administered using FDP Systems.

Mr. Goldberg is a member of the American Society of Actuaries (A.S.A.), American Academy of Actuaries (M.A.A.A.), and the Society of Pension Actuaries (M.S.P.A.).

Kathy Muro
Managing Director Operations & Administration

Kathy Muro is the Managing Director of Operations and Administration. She brings with her more than 30 years of in-depth knowledge in the Life Insurance Industry. Kathy is responsible for establishing best business practices and delivering high quality customer service.

Kathy is a former VP of FDP and SunGard where she was responsible for client relationship management, contract negotiations, policy administration, support of large blocks of interest sensitive contracts, and the CLAS administration system for variable life, annuity & COLI products for major life insurance carriers.

The scope of Kathy’s insurance operations knowledge includes retail, off-shore, private placement, and the diverse requirements of corporate owned life insurance products.

Yann Gibaja
Vice President IT

Born in France, Yann Gibaja holds an engineering diploma from Ecole Centrale de Paris. Yann has acquired 25 years of experience in software development in various domains from artificial intelligence, chemical engineering to the financial services industry. He worked in the Miami office of FDP from 1998 to 2003 as a senior software architect for FDP's CRM, Life Insurance Illustration and Financial Planning applications.

Yann is known for his creativity and his passion for software development. Since 2005, he and his team have been designing and developing an entire suite of web-based applications for Flamingo covering the whole business cycle of an insurance company.

Most recently, Yann has had a leading role in architecting the systems infrastructure for the acquisition of the Hartford Bermuda investment products company (Acadia Wealth Management Ltd.) as well as the development of the new fund trading station and web portal for acquired company.

Lisa Richardson, PhD
Vice President IT Operations and Administration

Lisa received her BA and PhD from the University of California and has over 27 years in the field of software development. She worked at FDP from 1984 to 2000 as a programmer and systems analyst and for 12 years as Vice President of the Database Department.

Lisa was instrumental in the development of FDP’s Contact Partner client management system, and led the database design team for FDP’s integrated Vision database to accommodate data sharing between FDP’s Client Management, Illustration and Financial Planning programs.

Most recently Lisa was Project Manager for the IT & Operations conversion of Hartford variable annuity block of business to Flamingo.   She is responsible for IT Operations and Administration.

Mike Spano
Director of Compliance and Controls

Michael F. Spano was born in New York and holds an accounting degree from Auburn University, as well as a Law degree from St Thomas University in Miami. Michael is a member of the Florida bar. During his 30 years at Financial Data Planning and SunGard, Mike's responsibilities included programming the CLAS administration system, data base management and administration and accounting for Large Insurance Companies. His programming duties were focused on processing fees and commissions, creating accounting feeds to outside systems and assuring compliance with IRS section 7702. Michael also served as a direct liaison to the clients.

Currently Michael is responsible for the compliance and controls department for Flamingo Software and its third party clients.

Vivian Ramos
Director of Client Services

Vivian received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami in Computer science and has 25+ years developing systems and supporting clients in the life insurance industry. She worked at FDP as a systems analyst from 1985 – 1999 and worked for SunGard Insurance Systems for the next 10 years. While at FDP and SunGard, she delivered solutions that improved business capabilities for life insurance companies to administer their products. Her primary responsibilities related to COLI and Variable Life administration through the CLAS administration system. She has worked closely with several major insurance companies.

Most recently she joined Flamingo Software as a client service specialist. She is responsible for private client support, fund administration support and fund trading.
